Welcome to the new forums! Here's a couple of key things you should know:
RULES-

As with most forums, there are rules...

FORUM RULES:

- No offensive language (that includes cursing).
- Be polite! It's OK to have a different opinion! Do not call people names or be rude.
- This forum is for users of all ages; please keep things clean.
- No hatred or illegal materials, of course.
- Please try to stay on topic since it causes confusion.
- Try not to use one word replies or replies that are pretty much useless. This is considered spam and spam is a big no-no. XD
- Try not to double post, use the edit button instead. The edit button is your friend. :3
- What if topics- specify where you stand on the issue, don't just say "What if Mario was blue" say "What if Mario was blue? I think he'd look strange." Or something like that.
- Please, only advertise a site on the "Sight a Site" category.
- Fanfics are allowed; just make sure they stay with the rules.
- HAVE FUN!!!

FAN ART RULES:

- It MUST be your own art- please do not steal pictures from the internet.
- It must be Mario or Sonic themed, or a combination of the two.
- Absolutly NO offensive material, including cursing, adult themes, ect.
- Sprite comics are allowed, just make sure they are good-quality.
- Fan characters are welcome, just make sure there is some effort put into them.
- Have fun with it!

PRIVATE MESSANGING RULES:

- Spam is PROHITED. Spam may include advertising a website, or completely useless messages.
- Do NOT send offensive material via PM.
- If you feel a PM is abusive, send it to me or one of the mods.

CONSQUENCES:

Breaking any of these rules leads to:

1st OFFENCE: Friendly reminder of the rule broken;
2nd OFFENCE: A warning is given;
3rd OFFENCE: A second warning is given, some privlages (avitar/sig uses) may be removed;
4th OFFENCE: Tenitive ban from the forums.

Please note that depending on the severity of the rule, there are acceptions to the punishment. PM me for more information.

TEAMS-

If you are a big Mario/Sonic supporter, I recomend you join a team to show your support. Members can click on the 'groups' tab and request to join either Team Mario or Team Sonic! Nifty, eh?

FAN ART-

Shortened to F.A. on the Nav bar, it's where you can upload your own Fan Art, similar to the original site's Fan Art page!

SMILEYS-

There's a couple custom smileys you can use to show emotions. They can be pretty cool , as long as they aren't over done! (You get the point XP !)

MODERATOR INFO:

If you would like to become a moderator, then show that you are responsable by:

-Being active in the forum
-Following the rules
-Letting a mod or me know if someone is breaking them

DO NOT ASK IF YOU CAN BE A MOD if I want you as a mod then I will PM you! Easy, right?

Just an FYI: Your moderator status can be taken away for braking the rules or being inactive.

Ummm, thats actually one of they ways on how not to be a mod. XD It gets annoying for mods/admins. But if you keep your behaviour good and follow the rules plus help out a bit, you might get a special pm asking you to become one. ;D

Btw: MvS, could you include that about not asking to become one? ^^ (I could just edit it but since your staff I would feel better if i ask you first. ^^)

Basically, what GlaceonChao said! I made LuigiAddictBoy a mod because he's active and, quite frankly, I think he's funny and would add a lot to the forum. XP He's also on Team Mario, and I want to keep it fair (Team Sonic mod, Team Mario mod). He's been a good mod, yup.

Anyway, I'd love to have you as a mod. Let's just wait 'til we have more members so we don't have too many 'staff' members. K? I'll PM you when we need more!

By the way, mods are welcome to edit the rules or post there own as they see fit!
