The mega drive ruled in my opinion couse it had so many games and they were awesome,
it had some classics including
1. Sonic The Hedgehog
2. Streets Of Rage
3. Comix Zone
4. Sonic The Hedgehog 2
5. Alex kidd
IT WAS AMASING

I dont no anyone that had a snes

Did you know the RAREST game in the WORLD is on the SNES? It was the SNES golden collection, including 7 levels from EVERY SNES game! Wow!

The Mega Drive was awesome! i had one till i was 6 and i miss it
the mega drive looked cooler to me

Super Nintendo had some of the greatest games such as Super Mario World, Super Mario All-Stars, and Super Mario Kart!

I think much of the MD success was do to its awesome commercials (did you know that Blast Processing actually DOESN'T EXSIST! Shocked

) . The marketing was brilliant for the system. Showing it off as 'fast' and 'cool', just like SEGA's mascot! I feel that i failed because SEGA released several 'side consoles' (32x, CD) and people were overwhemled by all the add-ons so they bought a SNES instead.

Both consoles were brilliant though. cheers

I love the SNES. I never owned a MD (a friend of mine did), so I grew up basically with Nintendo. I loved the 'cheat' controller for the SNES, I love the games, and I adore DK Country! cheers

I didnt get a snes, it looked awesome. i did play sonic 3, that was my favourite, i also connected it up with sonic and knuckles , it was so cool Very Happy

They really should come back, it dosent matter if they lose, they would still make alot of money!

I think the snes attracted more of the american side, Mega Drive attracted alot of the japanes and british, i guess thats why my lots of my dads friends when he was little had one

^^ I think that's backwards. The MD was marketed for an Amercan audience. In fact, a 1995 poll actually showed American teenage boys were embaressed to admit they had a SNES over a Genesis (MD) because of the 'cool' commercials. The MD did pretty good in Europe, but not very good in Japan, where it was beat by Nintendo. That has carried on to today, where Sonic's more popular than Mario in the UK, and Mario is more popular in Japan.
